The Andean Cosmovision is a way of perceiving and interacting with reality that has its roots in the indigenous culture of the high Andes. It reconnects us with the great mystery of our existence and of our deep connection with Nature and the Cosmos. Along the way it nourishes those aspects of ourselves that value love, beauty, and a sense of meaning.

In this workshop, Oakley Gordon—a professor in psychology who has been exploring the Andean Cosmovision under the tutelage of his Peruvian mentor and friend don Américo Yábar since 1994--will introduce the fascinating Andean Cosmovision with a discussion of its most representative features, including the concept of ayni (reciprocity), hucha (heavy or discordant energy) and the Pachamama, the great mother who is our planet Earth.

Dr Gordon will also lead us through meditations that serve as portals for exploring this territory on our own, and discuss how to integrate what we find in this exploration into our lives here in the West

Following, there will also be ample time for questions and discussion.

Oakley Gordon received his Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and entered into a career as a professor of psychology. Since 1994 he has been exploring the Andean Cosmovision under the tutelage of his Peruvian mentor and friend don Américo Yábar. In his trips to Peru, Oakley has also had the opportunity to work with many other Andean mystics, shamans, and healers. He has shared the Andean Cosmovision with Western society through papers at academic conferences, presentations to the public, articles, an extensive blog (SalkaWind.com/blog), a book (The Andean Cosmovision), and several hundred experiential classes and workshops.
