This unique piece of jewelry is part of the Mechanical Whispers Catacomb Collection: a one-of-a-kind jewelry collection created by artist Robert Morris, and inspired by European catacombs and ossuaries. This particular design has been modeled after a human sphenoid bone, found within the skull, that some consider resembles a butterfly and is arguably the most beautiful and ornate bone in the human body. This entire collection has been designed from an actual human skull and bones that have been carefully scanned and prepared for 3D printing and casting with the highest detail possible. A perfect gift for someone with an appreciation for dark elegance.

Mechanical Whispers is the creative endeavors of artist Robert Morris, who has a worldwide reputation for making visual delights for over two and a half decades through a variety of media including pen & ink drawings, photography, sculpture, 3D, and virtual reality. Robert finds inspiration from the intricate beauty of the natural world, with a special interest in bones, skulls, and creatures of the deep ocean, and incorporates these exquisite natural details into his pieces. Robert has a passion for urban decay, the smell of burning electricity, Jack Daniel's, medical illustrations, soft black puppies, and certainly not least, working in his New York studio.
