Mexican Cross Topped Sacred Heart Hoja de Plata Earrings

$25.00

This sacred heart, also known as The Sacred Heart of Jesus, is devoid of the usual flames and thorns and simply supports the cross. The heart, larger than the cross, signifies the long-suffering love and compassion Jesus has for humanity according to Catholic Devotions.

These earrings are a handmade traditional type of tin work—or “Hoja de Plata”— and is a folk art that has been made for centuries in Mexico, especially in Oaxaca.
