Occulture: what is it? We hear about it often but what does it really mean? The merging of OCCULT and CULTURE means a whole lot more than merely thematic magical mentions within culture. It’s a whole scene and dynamic in which the force of the underground undeniably rises to be part of the mainstream – like it always has and always will. What makes this happen, and why are we so increasingly immersed in occult things today – even in the mainstream? Join Carl Abrahamsson, author of the books ”Occulture – the Unseen Forces that Drive Culture Forward” and ”Introduction to Occulture” (and whose 1989 business card presented him as an ”occultural entrepreneur”!) as he guides us through fascinating examples of magical themes and people in history who changed culture, including contemporary outspoken occulture formulations of groups like Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth. Abrahamsson will also look at the general process of ”occulturation” in which basically all areas of human life are affected by ideas and concepts moving from hidden spheres and into manifest ones; today, occulture is even studied within academia, which is a sure sign of mainstream integration. In this unique and informative class you can learn all about it from an author and magician who’s worked with the process of observation and manifestation of occulture for over 40 years.

Carl Abrahamsson is the author of 20+ books, many of which deal with his many decades of working with occulture and magic. He is also the editor and publisher of the occultural journal ”The Fenris Wolf” (1989-present day). He lives with his wife, American psychoanalyst Vanessa Sinclair, in Vimmerby, Sweden.
