The Morbid Anatomy Library at Industry City, Brooklyn
254 36th Street (between 3rd and 4th Ave),
Building 2, room C248. Enter at 254 36 street, immediately turn right, and ascend one flight of stairs, or use the elevator to the second floor.

Join Lauren Seeley—death care worker and death literacy advocate, as well as the facilitator for the Silent Book Club Of Death Brooklyn—at the Morbid Anatomy Library for a night dedicated to reading silently about death/grief/mortality followed by Death Cafe, which is an open, respectful and confidential space for people to gather, salon-style, to talk about death.

No gimmicks, no agenda, just a desire to come together and face the future of what it means to be alive. This is not a support group or a counseling session. We meet as equals, as human beings, as mortals, sharing a slice of time and cake on our inexorable march towards death.

Lauren Seeley is a death care worker and death literacy advocate, as well as the facilitator for the Silent Book Club Of Death Brooklyn.

Your Morbid Friends is a death literacy company co-founded by Cassandra, a death doula, and Robin, an Ecopsychologist. Together, they curate spaces where mortals can discuss the morbid. Incorporating elements of mindfulness, embodiment, and a holistic/mycelial approach to care, we aim to facilitate a space where people can recontextualize their mortality/grief with a healthy perspective. Ultimately our goal is to facilitate the growth of a more death-positive culture.
