Sold Out

Saturday, May 4, 2024
7:30 – 10 pm

A lightning flash... then night! Fleeting beauty
By whose glance I was suddenly reborn,
Will I see you no more before eternity?

– Charles Baudelaire

Step into the exuberance of spring's fleeting beauty at Les Fleurs du Mal: A Decadent Ball, a Morbid Anatomy benefit celebration inspired by Baudelaire’s seminal work reflecting the inseparable nature of beauty and corruption.

Join us for an evening that promises connection and intrigue in a garden of otherworldly delights. Raise a glass with expertly crafted cocktails by Harridan Vodka, and savor the fleeting joys of life in the company of kindred souls within Brooklyn’s historic Gothic Revival Church of the Ascension.

Our headline performer Madame Le Pustra—featured artist on the TV show Babylon Berlin—will bring the unique stylings of Berlin cabaret with elaborate costumes and dark humor, transporting revelers to a decadent bygone era. Join us on the dance floor for the dark strains of DJ Psychopompos, and memorialize the night against the backdrop of a custom floral photo-booth by Rarebit Productions.

We hope you’ll don your best decadent best or a thematic costume—think Marchesa Luisa Casati, Alexander McQueen, deadly flowers, the Garden of Eden, occult princesses, Edward Gorey’s Evil Garden—and be eligible for prizes!

Embrace the impermanence of spring and revel in the splendor of the season with us. We’re only here for a short while, after all.

Note: Your admission not only includes entry for one to this extraordinary evening, but also supports our affordable educational programming and free open-to-the public research library. Keep an eye out for details on our related silent auction, another way to be a benefactor of Morbid Anatomy while you acquire one-of-a-kind objects and experiences!
