Have you seen wild animals that seemed to have something to tell you? Do books on dream interpretation or animal symbolism feel inadequate for explaining your experiences? Are you interested in developing a deeper connection with your pets or even houseplants?
It is our biological, intuitive, and spiritual heritage to be able to learn from the world around us. We are a part of nature, and nature dialogues with us constantly, if only we know how to listen. This course approaches the ways of learning, communicating and knowing that are available to us all, while staying clear of closed practices and indigenous terminology.
Using approaches grounded in psychology, intuition, and imagination, we will explore meditation techniques, practical tools, and research-based methods for engaging with animals—both in real life and in dreams. Over the course of four sessions, we will also will learn to recognize and interpret communication from animals and plants, and to cultivate clearer, more meaningful interactions with the living world.
Instructor Alicia King Anderson, Ph.D. has a degree in Mythological Studies and Depth Psychology, as well as experience as a shamanic practitioner.
