Tarot exists at the conjunction of two territories: The first one is it’s long-standing tradition, stretching over six centuries and chronicled in a plethora of books, decks and their iconographic variations and speculative interpretations. The second one is introspective, intangible, uncharted. This other realm exists both beyond and within us.

For Tarot to become a powerful meditation tool, one needs to cross this territory, develop an intimate relationship to the cards and their images, a sensitive and spontaneous one. In this strangely magical land, we unlearn, we reinvent the rules, trusting inclinations that often whisper to go against the grain. Intuitive and poetic, this approach of the Tarot can allow us to see ourselves more honestly, bring clarity to the complexity of our lives, and shed a new light on situations often misunderstood.

In 3 week long online class, Laetitia will present a variety of simple techniques that will help you to read cards without the help of your beloved tarot books by developing your intuitive connection with the tarot. After a historic overview, we’ll look at the tarot as a system, trying to understand its language and how to read “between the lines”. In this interactive, experiment friendly class, participants will be invited to unpack the symbolism of the tarot and understand it through the lense of their own symbolic values, in order to connect more deeply with the visual archetypes of each card. Together, we'll also learn how to weave a story out of the different levels of interpretation we encounter, and how the visual beauty of these cards can open to prophetic inspirations.

This class is a beginner to intermediate level, but everybody is welcome! Students will be required to have their own tarot decks. We'll work mainly with the Rider Waite Smith deck, but also with more abstract decks such as the Khan & Selesnick "Carnival of the End of the World" and the Tarot de Marseille.
