Delicate, hand-colored copper engraving of Bittersweet Nightshade , a plant once believed to protect one from the evil eye. it was published in an 1823 edition of Curtis's Botanical Magazine, one of the longest-running botanical magazines. 

Good condition. Beautiful, high-quality paper and subtle colors.

Measures 5 1/2 inches by 9 inches.
