Anima Sola, Original Oil Painting by Artist Maria Pia Mosquera

$600.00

While her tormented soul burns in purgatory, you can ask her for love, money and protection.

This original oil painting by Colombian-born artist Maria Pia Mosquera is drawn from the series Tricky Tricky, a mischievous trip, full of characters from folklore and popular culture. Ghouls, devils, ghosts, monsters and witches come together in a wicked danse macabre to help us remember the dead and celebrate the living.

Dimensions: 250mm wide x 400mm high

PLEASE NOTE: This piece ships from Australia and can take up to three weeks to arrive.

Maria Pia Mosquera (b. 1977) is a Colombian-born artist and designer, based in Sydney, Australia. Her current work explores our ambiguous relationship with death through imagery that challenges the macabre with wry humour, using the pervasive religious symbolism of Hispanic culture to bring the otherworldly into the everyday. Her work is held in various private collections in Australia and overseas.
