In Person Event · The Art of Fairy Tale Weekend in New York City

Join us this autumn in our home town of New York City as we celebrate Morbid Anatomy founder Joanna Ebenstein’s new book, The Art of Fairy Tales with our friends at The Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism (ARAS). Offerings will include a day-long symposium with a variety of scholars and thinkers; opportunities to see the fairy tale-themed treasures of ARAS and the the Kristine Mann Library; a party in honor of Madame d’Aulnoy, creator of the term “fairy tale,” with wine, entertainment, and prizes for best prizes for best costumes; and a peek at the new Morbid Anatomy Library, featuring our new collection of Victorian Hair Work donated by Leila’s Hair Museum in Independence, Missouri.
