Georges Bataille's Accursed Politics: An Illustrated Online Lecture with Author Colin Dickey

Admission: $8 - Tickets and more info HERE

French writer Georges Bataille (1897-1962) is best known today for his works of transgressive pornography, including Story of the Eye. Colin Dickey will present a history not only on Bataille's political involvement in the French anti-fascist movements of the 1930s, but also reconcile this activism with his theories of transgression, excess, violence & sacrifice, and even eroticism. As the world is once again facing a rising threat of international fascism, are any of Bataille's ideas worth revisiting?
